During a dive, guides continuously observe a diver’s: • movement • responses to changing conditions • overall stability in the water Based on this, they constantly evaluate: • which dive sites are possible • what conditions can be handled safely • which sites should be chosen for the next dive For this reason, two divers with the same certification level and similar log counts may experience the same dive very differently. Even when a diver personally feels “fine,” the guide may experience significant pressure managing the situation from a safety perspective.
Most guides want to show the best dive sites available within the given conditions. The most important factor in making this possible is trusting the guide’s judgment and diving within the same overall flow. A diver who fully enjoys Jeju’s sea is not someone who makes demanding requests that reduce options, but someone who enjoys the best possible dives within the available choices.

Even if a plan such as deep → mid-depth → shallow is discussed, it may not be followed in practice.
